VSTECS | AWS Kuching Roadshow: Transforming Malaysia’s Digital Economy

On January 21, 2025, VSTECS KU, in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), proudly hosted the highly anticipated Kuching Roadshow at The Waterfront Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak. Themed “The Future is Now: Transforming Malaysia’s Digital Economy,” the event brought together industry leaders, innovators, and cloud enthusiasts to explore how AWS cloud solutions are driving the digital transformation agenda in Malaysia.

Originally planned for 120 attendees, the event exceeded expectations with an impressive 130 participants, reflecting the growing interest in cloud technologies and their potential to empower businesses.

The day was filled with engaging sessions, impactful discussions, and meaningful networking opportunities, reinforcing VSTECS position as the first AWS distributor in Malaysia and a key enabler of the nation’s digital economy.

Opening Keynotes: Inspiring Vision and Leadership

The event commenced with an inspiring keynote by Pete Murray, Country Manager of AWS Malaysia, who shared AWS’s commitment to Malaysia’s digital future. In his talk, “AWSuntukMalaysia – Our Malaysia Journey,” Pete highlighted AWS’s role in supporting the Madani Economy Framework and empowering local businesses with cutting-edge cloud solutions.

Following this, AK Tee, Group General Manager of VSTECS, delivered a compelling address on “Driving Digital Transformation in Malaysia.” He emphasized VSTECS dedication to bridging the gap between advanced AWS technologies and local enterprises, enabling businesses to unlock new opportunities in the digital economy.
